Typesetting

In January, 2009, VTEX had a staff of 41 copy editors, 51 typesetters, and 22 proofreaders. All our editors have university degrees in mathematics, physics, or chemistry. Thirteen of them have doctoral degrees in these fields. This allows our company to provide high-quality editing services. Typesetters, as a rule, are university graduates - either in mathematics or in physics. This highly-qualified staff allows to handle editing and typesetting of complicated papers in the most efficient way. The usual turnaround time for proofs - five or six working days for letters journals, and ten to fifteen working days for regular journals. Copyediting is included. Delivery of proofs and completed issues to authors, publishers or printers is by FTP, e-mail, courier or regular mail. In 2008, over 95% of material was sent exclusively via e-mail or FTP.
